  電機使用的一種常見溫度傳感器是PTC熱敏電阻傳感器。PTC傳感器是電阻取決于溫度的電阻,PTC代表“正溫度系數”。這意味著電阻隨著溫度的升高而增加。PTC熱敏電阻有線性型和開關型兩種。它們之間的區別在于材料、結構和制造。在本次討論中,我們將只關注開關型PTC熱敏電阻。


  開關型PTC熱敏電阻使用多晶陶瓷材料,其電阻曲線相對于溫度具有高度非線性。根據環境溫度和電阻,開關型PTC熱敏電阻的電阻可能會隨著溫度的升高而略微降低,但隨后在稱為臨界溫度T C的特定溫度下,電阻響應會急劇增加。開關型PTC熱敏電阻的典型臨界溫度為60°C–140°C。當達到臨界溫度時,PTC電阻急劇增加到超過1,000Ω。


  PTC熱敏電阻的非線性特性是有利的。在臨界范圍內,一個小的溫差相當于一個大的電阻變化,可以通過VFD或控制器進行測量和監控。


  這種高電阻充當開路,并將打開VFD上的T1和T2(或T+和T-)端子之間的熱監控電路。該開路將觸發E.dOH驅動故障,這將使電機停止并移除調制電流。一旦電機和PTC熱敏電阻有足夠的時間冷卻下來,就可以再次使用電機和PTC熱敏電阻傳感器。這樣,PTC熱敏電阻傳感器充當可復位保險絲。
